To Moab

South from Rock Springs the road was snow covered and I took it pretty slow. But it wasn't snowing or blowing, and the snow was fresh, not packed ice, so it wasn't too bad.

We passed several groups of horses. They were a little skittish, but this one stopped to look at us. (photo by Shelley since they were on her side of the car)

We got to Moab about 4pm as the light was getting low:

We're staying at 3 Dogs & A Moose Cottages in Moab, another (I think successful) attempt to find something a little different. We're in Bogies Bungalow, which is small but well equipped and quite cozy. The garden / courtyard area is a bit bare this time of the year, but it looks like it would be lovely if it wasn't winter. We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub to relax after another day of driving. We've finally made it far enough south for above zero temperatures and our plan is to stay here two nights and do some exploring. Moab is best known as a mountain biking mecca, but I'm sure there are hikes around too.
